  • Become a volunteer board member to help with fundraising.
  • Donate funds to be used for clothing, food, medical, tutoring and other needs.
  • Share the needs with your friends.

  • Clothing - when children are initially sheltered and throughout the year for school clothing and school uniforms, as well as clothes needed for growing children.
  • Food assistance. This is usually while caregivers are waiting to receive assistance from other sources.
  • Tutoring sessions.
  • Beds with mattresses and bedding. 
  • Diapers, Pull-Ups and Wipes
  • Rent assistance - deposits or rent due to a change in circumstances.
  • Assistance with utilities - address balances due to other unforeseen expenses
  • Childcare - usually the initial application fee and/or deposit
  • Beyond the Basics - help with costs for camps, sports, graduation, school activities, etc.

The number of requests has been increasing over the past three years. 

  • In 2022, GALF2 processed 171 requests for almost $28,000. 
  • In 2023, GALF2 processed 263 requests for almost $51,000. 
  • In 2024, GALF2 processed 313 requests for almost $60,000.

GALF2 has a 100% volunteer board so administrative costs include required expenses such as: 

  • Accounting services
  • Insurance for the Board
  • Expenses associated with the website
  • Fees for banking, and maintaining a Post Office box
  • Possible memberships to help with awareness and/or fundraising

GALF2 is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
